Intro
A week later, still with nail polish at my (left) hand, I finally have some bits of time to write the first lines of my report, the thing that I expect from myself and promised to so many others. It is a tricky situation, but I hope the result will be worth it (and that in the end I learn from it, so big deal!
I want to say one thing, on forward. All what I write is not to take away the fun from others, it is written from my heart, how I see and consider the things. It might be that some of you fully disagree with me, that's okay, I just write this as my, our,
personal memory and if you have a bit of fun in reading it, then my goal is reached!
The pictures in this report are taken by others, not only at the Dortmund gig, but considering that the gigs and setlists are similar, why not sharing the best with you all :)
At the end of the report I add the names of the ones that I remember that I took some pictures from, please forgive me if you are not mentioned, it is not a bad purpose to do so (at least not for the most of you, heh!) And comments about lay out, tuning, language and all, well, you can drop them to me at the usual ways.
A last thing for now. This report is written in my traditional (free) webspace, what means that the first days after "launch" this site might be unreachable. The report has a back up in the Staying Power group at msn, with probably a tiny bit different outlook, but basical it is the same.>=

As I said, the nail polish is still at my fingers, when I started to write this..
ah well, good old memories from the concerts of so long ago, It is so hard to believe that it is 30 years ago.. Time files and.. you can't turn back the clock.. Yeah it is ashame indeed.
It started all with the booking of the tickets, and for the pre-fun and all I gladly recommend the stayingPower pages, that you find with a click under the pic of the tickets.
And yes, when we were just back home, of course there were already some reports and impressions on line.
So much different then that time ago.. The new media give a new charm, but what did they do to the old charm, of phoning, writing letters and knowing weeks later what had going on at the different shows... *sigh*, I shall stop this melancholy blues, and try to act not too much as living in the past.
Some people said the Dortmund gig as one of the less good show of the row so far.. In fact such comments give me a big smile..
I think that an overload of seeing the shows affects what you notice and how you experience the gigs.
Of course we were in Dortmund for the first gig (and the only one together :(, ) and it was realy great to see our old giants back on stage.
As we said and considered before, it went to be a historical gathering. We two for the first time could share together something that is as close as you can get to a Queen concert, and that is great to share with the one you love the most, the most dear to you.
Further it is a fact, Brian and Roger are not teens anymore, and that's of course making their performance different then the ones we know so well from the video's and from our memories *heh, sorry to rub it in, but we saw Queen alive in the times that all the 4 were still contributing* returning.
We checked in in our hotel in the afternnoon, having first surrounded the "westfahlenhalle", a large thing that is. We saw some people "stealing" the huge we will rock you announcements outside, that were just hang there.
Okay, time to stand in the queue. And of course NOW we found no familiar face..
You look more from a distance, you get more and more critical on the show itselves.
As sure as I am that Brian and Roger were having their memories as well to the locations, like here in Dortmund, where they were almost 19 years ago, under different circumstances.
The entire show it was clear, Queen without Freddie is something else, it is not the same and you cannot say that the quality of the musicians is bad, I think that Brian and Roger choose a perfect team around them.. just like you can expect it from Queen!

After that we checked in in our super luxury hotelroom, we went for something to eat and met in the restaurant Fredde (B) and Noor, a bit strange to meet just those two who we know, while there were about 9.000 people in total coming up for the gig.
Waiting long enough we finally got in and after a bit of searching for the places we entered the hall itself.
The show started the way we knew that it was in the other venues as well. Dark stage and hey, what idiot tries to organize a wave at 8.15? We were not waiting for that, right? So the wave failed and there came a couple of strange releases of we will rock you around.

Heeyheyheey yeah..And there we go! Paul singing Tie your mother down, and the seats in the hall were not needed anymnore!
So, with our socks rocked off, Brian spoke the first words to us: "Hi Dortmund, we are going to fucking rock you!"
Whoa! is that our Brian?? What are we supposed to get tonight?
Uhm first a classical, I want to breakfree.
Everyone around us was singing, it was hard to hear Paul Rodgers singing, but who cares in fact? It was a revival, and I had many times the idea that the audience leanred the Wembley dvd by head, the songs were almost spelled like that.
How can a singer sing his own style while 9.000 man are singing encore a more well known version!
Anyway, of course Paul had the guts, it was not his first time and he just got on with it, at his nice and unique style.
He clearly had a lot of fun and showed that, the audience took that and that is a big compliment, considering that the Queen fans are realy spoiled with what they got in the past.
I got used to the voice of Paul, but of course remembered the many times (like on Queens' day) that Roger sang this song, but I could patiently wait.. The drums got a gogo, and no one else then Roger could do that. The singing was okay, realy a song to get the audience warm.The seats were left already under TYMD, and the hands remained in the air... ** two three four *** Ooooooo you're gonna take me out tonight... Fat bottomed girls, the hands clapping again, this nasty song (brian, what did you think when you wrote this) splashed through the hall...
Right beside the red fire lights... The stage was filled with lights, the lightshow was as we could expect!!
The usual concept. Roger behind his drums, backing vocals in the highest levels, that just with hearing gives me certain pains already *heh*
Crazy little thing called love
Spikes'keyboard as usual spices (spikes!) up this song. Pressed in the corner his chords roll under the crazy little thing and made it a sappy rolling rocksong
Roger leaves his drums and comes in front of the catwalk:
"this song is written about aids.."
and the joke he seems to make at all the gigs „We all wear condoms as a fashion“
Okay, you're forgiven!

Brian made his touching Love of my life. As always a nice and sweet introduction, and then "this song is for Freddie".. Hmmm shivers are still coming over me *put on the heathing a bit*..
The (relative) new song "Say It Ain't True" he sang at the front of the catwalk.
The audience was silent, and that was in fact the only moment in the show..
I have seen a nice show, yes, I have seen better, the sound not realy bad, not at all, and that's true. I have seen better concerts, because I saw Queen alive and that's a fact as well. I am looking forward very much to the show in Arnhem, those boys still can rock and it is wonderful to be a part of it!
We had a wonderful time, it was great that we went and tho we wanted it all, we got what they could give and that was a hell of a lot!

I am pretty sure there was not much different in the shows in Germany. I realy mean it, and with looking back now a bit more, I think that Brian and Roger don't need an extra singer, they can do it theirself the best!
Brian rocks big time, his guitar is so cool and Roger, well... he is always touching me. And to be honest, how many queen fans were waiting for 10 minutes of all right now? not me, then I prefer 10 minutes of Brians' solo :)
Further one note about the word karaoke. Here in Europe it is used to say "sing along" with music. It seems that in Japan it means "singing without music", well, that was sure not the case, the music was fantastic, heh, needless to say now I think!

I have seen better security, because when we walked in my girls' handbag was checked, I am not sure that the security even found out the color of it. Maybe you wear a t shirt with "schlag mich" on it? :) And of course you should right away complain when something like that happens without any reason, as in any civilized country that is not allowed. Security has not the same rights as police and as well no one never has the right to violate other peoples' possessions. I dont know for all countries, but for sure in Germany and in Holland that is not allowed.
Paul Rodgers did what he can, snd so did Roger, Brian and not to forget Danny, Jamie and Spike (very much at the background). Paul Rodger sang his own songs with the spirit, he knew what he sang. Brian and Roger did so in the Queen songs, and well, the audience was never silence, clapping and cheering all the time. In the old days (yes, we are of that slightly getting grey generaion that can talk about how it realy was then!) it was (hard) rock, now a family meeting like Brian said (hilarious, he excuesed for having used the F word (we gonna fucking rock you *or something like that*), with his comment he noticed the people on it more then if he simply had pretended it had not happened.
At Rogers' singing the audience around us sang so loud that we could not hear Roger proberly anymore.

Nou.. .je hebt op alle fronten gelijk gehad, wij hebben ontzettend genoten. Helaas was het geluid niet echt goed, maar met 9000 mensen lekker de queen liedjes zingen is gewoon lekker, en ja, als brian LOML zong is het toch heerlijk om mee te brullen, en ook een traan weg te plinken, dat kan je niet zo vaak met een van je idolen meezingen toch? En Roger is gewoon waanzinnig, maar ik hoef jou dat soort dingen niet te vertellen.
Heerlijk al die foto's en verslagen, ik ga nu weer verzamelen, had een volle week, we zijn in dortmund blijven slapen, nota bene in het hotel waar de afterparty was (wisten wij veel... niets gezien dus :()
Leuk ook die link naar de paar woordjes van roger op rtl.. En ik moet het ff kwijt, wat is die Johnnie (miracle) een arrogante kwast zeg, en wat een slecht stukje zang van hem, meer anti reclame dan reclame... Sorry, maar ik vind het heel onsportief zoals ik dat in die 10 seconden zag, jammer dat rtl zoiets in zijn verslag stopt, het heeft me mateloos gestoord!
maar goed, we hebben iets heerlijks om op terug te kijken he hannie, jij helmaal, nog meer lekkers dan ik, maar ik ben helemaal overtuigd, Queen leeft en is nog steeds waanzinnig goed, en dan maakt het ook niet zo veel uit wie er mee zingt, van mij mogen onze jongens nog wat meer doen, ze zijn zo goed die twee! *trots*
Nou, ik ga morgen eens aan het verslag schrijven, ik ben niet iemand die deze week het concert van zijn leven heeft gezien (dat was lang geleden, haha), maar wel iets waarop ik nog lang zal terug kijken!

Queen, Westfalenhalle 1 Dortmund Lose yourself in the music...
Ein Konzert, über das ich nicht viele Worte verlieren sollte. Es war einfach alles perfekt. Angefangen mit der problemlosen Anfahrt trotz strömendem Regen, den ausreichend vorhandenen Parkplätzen über die nette Security bis hin zu einem perfektem Auftritt... Es hat alles gestimmt. Das ganze Konzert, auch der Innenraum, war merkwürdigerweise bestuhlt. Jedenfalls hatten wir 2 Plätze in der 10. Reihe, ziemlich genau in der Mitte. An dieser Stelle waren allerdings keine Stühle, sondern der Catwalk. Es dauerte nicht lange, bis uns eine ausgesprochen freundliche Frau von der Security aufklärte, dass sie das mit dem Catwalk zu spät erfahren hatte und deswegen die Plätze verlegt haben. Nun gut, wir saßen danach in Reihe 5 direkt am Catwalk. Geil! Queen + Paul Rodgers
Danach noch knapp 45 Minuten abgesessen und es ging diesmal mit einem grauenhaften Remix von A Beautiful Day los... der wieder in Lose yourself endete... Dieser Rap von Eminem funktioniert tatsächlich, auch wenn es wieder reichlich verwunderte Gesichter zu sehen gab.
Eröffnet wurde wieder mit Reaching Out und wir wunderten uns, dass Paul auf einmal fast direkt neben uns stand. Klasse. Mit den ersten Riffs von Tie Your Mother Down fing dann die Halle hinter uns an zu brodeln. In unserem Block war aus 2 Gründen weniger los: Die Securities schickten jeden weg, der der Absperrung zu Nahe kam und mindestens die Hälfte der Leute war augenscheinlich von der Presse und schienen sich nicht wirklich zu amüsieren. Schade um die guten Plätze. Paul, wenn Du das entgegen aller Wahrscheinlichkeit lesen solltest: Ich hab es nicht kapiert, dass mir die Hand entgegengestreckt hast... Ich war zu aufgeregt und zu glücklich und überhaupt alles auf einmal.
Das änderte sich erst, als Brian vor '39 das Publikum aufforderte, doch in den freien Bereich zu kommen, das wäre ein Rockkonzert... Die Leute liessen auch nicht lange auf sich warten und die Security war fürs erste überrumpelt, bis nachher der Innenraum abgesperrt wurde. Queen + Paul Rodgers
Die Setlist war nicht wirklich anders als in Paris, aber man merkt, dass Queen und Paul jetzt schon mehrere Wochen zusammen spielen: Es stimmt einfach alles, sowohl im Großen als auch in den ganzen kleinen Gesten, Füllern und Lachern zwischen durch. Neu waren für mich Say It's Not True von Roger zusammen mit Danny Miranda und Jamie Moses auf dem Catwalk und der Jum Let There Be Drums. Supergeiles Instrumentalstück, kurz, prägnant und gut. Danach muss auch der letzte Zweifler kapieren, dass Roger noch lange nicht zum alten Eisen gehört. Queen + Paul Rodgers
Queen + Paul Rodgers
Genauso wenig gehören Queen zum alten Eisen. Sie haben die Westfalenhalle zu Brei gerockt, wie die Die Ärzte sagen würde. Ja und, die Musik ist "alt" aber das macht sie nicht schlechter, im Gegenteil. Auf dem Konzert waren wieder mehrere Generationen vertreten und jeder kam voll auf seine Kosten.
Mein persönlicher "Held" des Abends: Paul Rodgers. Vorweg gleich klar gestellt: Er ist nicht Freddie, er hat eine andere Stimme, er hat eine andere Gestik. Aber alles halt nur "anders", er ist ja auch nicht Freddie. Aber er mindestens genauso gut. Er hat Ausstrahlung, man nimmt ihm ab, dass ihm die Musik genauso viel Spaß macht, wie dem Publikum und seine offensichtlich gute Laune war einfach nur ansteckend. Ausserdem: Er und Brian sind ein gutes Team, wirkte besonders gut beim Wechsel von langsam nach schnell in Hammer To Fall.
Paul Rodgers singt die Queen Songs technisch (so weit es geht, so hoch und niedrig er singen kann), dann und wann ist klar das er nicht so kann singen als das Original. Das stört überhaupt nicht, weil das Publikum das fehlerlos übernimmt.
Seine eigene Lieder singt er viel überzeugender, alsob er von die Lieder versteht was er sang, weil wir das bei die Queen Lieder nicht unbedingt
hören konnten.
Sowie bei The show must go on, was er versuchte um zu zaubern in einen Mitsinger, wo er die ernsthafte Botschaft in der Text fast aus seinem
Verband gezogen hatte.
Wenn Roger sein "those are the days of our lives" singt ist das Gefühl da unbedingt, sowie in seine andere Lieder.
Egal ob das Publikum mitsang oder nicht, Roger (und Brian auch), sie beiden sangen ihre Lieder passioniert, und besonders Roger, mit ihre eigene Interpretation, wodurch die Lieder mehr bedeutete als nur unglaublich schöne Lieder die jeden kennt.
Brians' love of my life war natürlich für Freddie und werde laut von dem Publikum gesungen. Ich habe laut mitgesungen, einfach weil es nicht so oft ist das ich mit Brian am Gitarre dieses Lied mitsingen kann...
39 war (bevor Love of my life) durch Brian gesungen mit seine 12 schnaren Gitarre, Brian singt seine Lieder mit sehr viel Gefühl, aber er musste sich anstrengen um alle Tonen richtig zu singen. Das störte überhaupt nicht, muss ich ehrlich sagen. Brian und seine Gitarre sind sehr dominant auf dem Podium zu finden, Brian geht überall und spielt routiniert, pasioniert und offentlich mit sehr viel spass. Die beide herren are "fucking rocking", so wie Brian das am Anfang der Show sagte...
Der Spass strahlt von allen. Auch von die drei die in der Ecke "gedruckt" sind, Danny Miranda and Jamie Moses, die wirklich sehr gut spielten und auch Paul Rodgers scharf vokal unterstutzten bei der Queen songs, und selbstverständlich good old spike at the keyboards.
Danny Miranda und Jamie Moses kommen aus ihren Ecke wenn Brian in vorne ist bei Paul, sie stehen um das Schlagzeug von Roger und spielen mit so viel spass zusammen, wirlkich zusammen, es ist einen Lust zu sehen, eben wenn es so weit weg ist! Als Backing vocals sind sie nicht auffällig anwesend, aber bestimmt sehr wichtig in der Unterstützung für die Sänger.. Und na ja, wenn es zu hoch kommt ist es für Roger natürlich!
(2 lines esp for the dutch readers.. As long as someone who tries to sing Freddies' songs is doing that in his own style, it is okay. Paul made a perfect job in that. I feel ashame for the expressions in the press from someone who tries this as well (and never succeeds), I could not believe what that person told, and I can not understand why the press allowed this person to ventilate its crap, and then I am not even talking about the interview, well in fact as well!)
Und dann kommt Roger, er erzählt über das Lied (er sagt nicht das es neu ist, was auch richtig ist, das Lied kennen wir schon anderhalb Jahr), das geschrieben ist für das 46664 Konzert in 2003, über Aids.
Say it ain't true zeigt das Roger nicht nur einen guten Schlagzeuger ist aber auch einen hervorragender Sänger. Die Ballade über aids (it can happen to you, it can happen to me) sind die einige 4 Minute die es tatsäglich Maus-stille ist in der Halle.
Es tut ein bisschen denken an der Tagen mit Freddie, aber es ist nicht dasselbe, nur das Roger (und Brian) es für einander kriegen die Halle stille zu kriegen, sonst niemand!
Später überrascht Roger uns wieder, er gibt eine Drum-solo, die mir stark denken tut an Cozy Powell!
Das letzte Strophe übernamm Paul von Brian, schade, ich hatt gehofft das Roger es tun sollte, so wie bevor in der tour, aber na ja, man kann nicht alles haben, aber sogar alles wünschen! :) Wir kónnen wieder stehen gehen, "the show did go on" und der Video Wand wird wieder benutzt wenn Roger "these are the days of our lives" singt. Alle 9.000 jubeln wennn der junge Freddie verscheint. Wir sehen Aufnahmen von Japan, in der frühe Queen Jahre.. Sch***, es ist so lange her. "you cant turn back the clock, you cant turn back the time..
Der "Video wall" wird nochmals schwer benutzt wenn der Band Bohemian Rhapsody spielt. Brian und Roger bleiben dieses mal auf das Podium, sie drummen und spielen Gitarre (rate 3 mal wer was :P), und Freddie singt live in Wembley Bohemian Rhapsody zu uns" Arrgh, alle Haare reisen wieder hoch aint it ashame...

Nach Bohemian Rhapsody gehen die Herren vom Stage nach hinter, aber selbsterverständlich kommen sie zurück, es was so kurz soweit...
Und auch jetzt keine Überrasschungen, aber einfach geil, was die Herren wieder bringen. Paul Rodgers darf sein "All right now" mal singen, kein schlechtes Lied aber ich denke das fast 10 Minute ein bisschen lang ist für das Lied, obschon es einfach mit zu singen ist..
Über Mitsinger gesprochen, We Will Rock you kriegt die ganze Halle platt, klatschen und singen und so einen Song, gesungen bei 9.000 Fans, ist einfach wunderbar, und auch wenn wir wissen das das fast das wirkliche Ende der Show ist.
Sch*****.... das ist verd****t kurz!
Mit We Are the Champions singen Queen und Paul Rodgers das letze Lied der Abend. Ich kann nur bestätigen das Queen noch immer lebt, und sie sind wirklich die ungekrohnte Championen der Welt. Paul Rogers kommt richtig gut mit mit Queen.
Das einzige Lied was mir nicht so gut gefallen hatt (hey es wäre nicht ich wenn ich nicht ein "aber" dabei mach!!!), war Crazy Little Thing Called Love.
Paul Rodgers spielte Gitarre, aber singen und Spielen ging ihm nicht so gut ab, er horte auch schnell (zu schnell?) auf mit siene Gitarre. Spikes' keyboard "riddles" sind so wunderbar in dieses Lied so das die kleine Dissonance nicht fürchtbar was. Spike rocks, bestimmt!
God save the Queen!
Was mir angeht ist Queen noch lange nicht tot, und ich kann zurück schauen auf einen wunderbaren Show, zusammen mit meine wunderbare Liebe, mit wer die Abend noch mehr unvergesslich war als alle sonstige Queen Konzerte wo ich war.

Es wurde ruhiger... Roger singt sehr gut, aber ich finde das Lied langweilig. Eine Stimme in meiner Nähe sagte: „Kann der nicht einfach am Schlagzeug bleiben?“ Danach der mittlerweile alte Witz: „We all wear condoms as a fashion“ Ich mag’s nicht, wenn selbst Witze auf der Setlist stehen...
'39 – BM
Brian lästert über die Bestuhlung im Innenraum und ermutigt alle zum Aufstehen und Näherkommen, um eine Lagerfeuer-Atmosphäre zu schaffen. Nicht alle dürfen jedoch, und werden rigoros zurückgehalten.
LOVE OF MY LIFE – BM
Dann natürlich das obligatorische Love of my Life, Freddie gewidmet. Alle singen mit, schöne Stimmung
Oje... Eigentlich eins meiner Lieblingslieder. Auch wenn ich die neue Version sehr schön arrangiert finde, bevorzuge ich es laut und rockig. Und dann Schock: Gerade wenn das Lied zum härteren Teil übergeht, geht irgendetwas schief... ich weiss nicht was, aber es hörte sich schrecklich schief an. Entweder hat Paul in der falschen Tonart gesungen, oder die Gitarre war verstimmt... ich weiss es nicht, aber das war leider ne Niete.
Feel like making Love.Eigentlich ein schönes Lied, hab's aber zum ersten Mal gehört, daher war ich nicht so aus dem Häuschen.
LET THERE BE DRUMS
Fand das Lied auf der Blues Brothers 2000 CD schon immer schön. Und Roger ließ sich richtig aus. Der hoppelte manchmal auf seinem Hocker wie dieses Smiley:
I'M IN LOVE WITH MY CAR – RT
Endlich durfte ich es live hören. Wird allerdings tatsächlich etwas langsamer gespielt. Aber so schlimm fand ich es nicht. Sehr gute Arbeit... Und nochmal zu Roger: Seine Stimme ist hervorragend.
GUITAR SOLO – BM
Brians Soli treffen meinen Geschmack immer wieder. Erneut Passagen aus Chinese Torture zu hören. Sehr schön... Zum ersten Mal öffnet sich der Vorhang der Video-Wand und man sieht eine Zeitraffer-Fahrt quer durch London. Natürlich wird Eigenwerbung gemacht (We Will Rock You) bis wir am Buckingham Palace ankommen. Brian rennt zur Erhebung und steht plötzlich wieder auf dem Dach. Ich finde, es ist eine gelungene Idee. Er ist sichtlich stolz darauf.
LAST HORIZON – BM
Hier wird’s extrem kitschig. Wolken in Sonnenaufganglicht, Diskokugel wird bestrahlt, dass 100.000 kleine Pünktchen durch die Westfalenhalle wandern... Too much... und außerdem Brians Solowerk; KEIN Queen-Song.
THESE ARE THE DAYS OF OUR LIVES - RT with BM
Drum-Machine mit den berühmten ‘Days of Our Lives’-Conga-Rhythmen. Auch eins meiner Lieblings-Lieder, doch wirkt es natürlich am stärsten mit Freddie am Gesang. Doch es ist Rogers Lied und er hat ein Recht, es zu singen. Die Video-Sequenzen sind schön eingebaut.
RADIO GA GA – PR
Die ersten Takte von Gaga ertönen, und schon weiß jeder bescheid. Beim Klatschen macht jeder mit... sehr schön. Auch, wenn es nicht eins meiner Lieblingslieder ist.
CAN'T GET ENOUGH – PR
In meiner Ecke haben sich viele Leute (demonstrativ) wieder hingesetzt. Ich auch. Ich kenne das Lied nicht, konnte die Pause aber gut gebrauchen
A KIND OF MAGIC – PR
Wahnsinn, welche Lichteffekte die dahinzaubern... Das Intro mit den Freddie-Geräuschen fand ich übrigens auch sehr schön. Auch wenn viele dafür sind, Magic rauszuwerfen... Ich finde, es sollte bleiben.
I WANT IT ALL – BM
“So, you want it all?” fragt Brian. Und das Publikum antwortet natürlich “Yeahhh!”. Roger muss zweimal anzählen, bevor es losgeht. Insbesondere der schnelle Part war laut und rockig! Sehr schön, die ganze Basnd im gleißenden Weißlicht zu sehen. Dieses Lied wurde geboren, um live performed zu werden!
BOHEMIAN RHAPSODY – PR
Paul steigt auf die Bühnenerhebung, deutet auf die Leinwand und es scheint so, als ob er sich verbeugt... Noch ist keinem klar, warum, doch plötzlich hört man die ersten Noten von Bohemian Rhaposdy, das Licht geht aus und schon bald erscheint unser Freddie live aus Wembley. In der zweiten Strophe wagt sich Brian auf die Bühne und spielt Gitarre dazu... Wieder gibt es Probleme... es harmoniert nicht so richtig. Aber das ist halb so wild... Meine drei Freunde und ich liegen uns in den Armen, schunkeln wie in bester Volksmusik-Manier und singen den Text sicher mit. Dann kommt der Opern-Part mit guten Video-Stücken, um freilich vom Heavy-Part abgelöst zu werden. Hier wirkt mir der Wechsel nicht imposant genug... kein Rumms, keine Rauchschwaden... etwas unspektakulär. Der Song nähert sich dem Ende, Paul lässt das ganze Publikum „nothing really matters to me“ singen, bevor er es nochmal singt, und verdammt hohe Noten trifft (und einige leider nicht gut halten kann). Das „Anyway the wind blows“ übernimmt wieder Freddie, wir sehen, wie er sich verbeugt... und schemenhaft erkennt man auch Freddie aus dem Days of Our Lives Video aus der “I Still Love you”-Szene (oder hab ich mir das nur eingebildet?)
----- THE SHOW MUST GO ON – PR
Nach ca. fünf Minuten Pause kommen die ersten Takte vom letzten Lied der Innuendo-Platte. Sehr schön, endlich mal live gehört. Auch in de Setlist hervorragend platziert.
ALL RIGHT NOW – PR
Auch ein Lied, welches Live am besten klingt. Die ganze Halle übernahm den Gesangspart für 1,2 Minuten.
WE WILL ROCK YOU – PR/ WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS – PR/ GOD SAVE THE QUEEN
Der gewohnte Abschluss eines Queen-Konzerts. Wieder liegen wir uns in den Armen und strengen unsere malträtierten Stimmbänder ein letztes Mal an, bevor die Lichter in der Westfalenhalle wieder hell aufleuchten.
